Her Majesty’s (Summer) House Cup
a magical art (summer) school walkabout
July 19 - August 27th

At Her Majesty’s Royal Academy of the Arts (Majesty’s for short), a prestigious boarding school for Britain’s most talented (or most well connected), students learn to harness the magic of creation. In this world, art is literally magic--and magic itself is a form of art.

Although not part of the normal school calendar, for the last few years, Majesty’s has been offering a special summer session for their students--and for an extra fee, students from other schools can also study at Majesty’s during the summer session. But just because it’s only a summer session doesn’t mean that the traditions of Majesty’s will be ignored!

That’s right! It’s time for Majesty’s (Summer) House Cup! Who will win the most house points? Who will lose the most house points? And, most importantly, who will win the Final (Summer) Art Competition?

DRAMA!!!!!!!!! )
Next week: The final event of the tournament is taking place, with a replacement champion running it on Teikoku's behalf. The saboteur has ollied out, but the mysterious letter-writer remains unaccounted for. If you're planning to submit an obstacle to the maze, tell us about it here!

So! Since Naoki forfeited his place as Teikoku's Champion due to conflicted feels over all the sabotage being done in his behalf, that leaves our Japanese school without a student to compete in the maze. Teikoku is allowed to make a last minute substitution with the price of losing Naoki's place in the "staggered" starting times (i.e. tied with the other two) and the new Champion would have to enter the maze after Leo and Jack, but if anyone affiliated with the school, Infiltrator or Investigator, wants to step up to the plate, please let us know in the comments here!

(If we get multiple volunteers we'll RNG it!)

To help us keep track of things for the final event, we now have a form for maze obstacle submissions! We're going to let our maze runners choose a few obstacles to square off against and RNG a few others, and this'll be the list we draw from.

If your character's submitting an obstacle, please pop over there to let us know about it!

shenanigans. What a lovely word. )
Next Week: The Gallery Gala offers students and staff alike a chance to relax a little before the tournament's final event - as well as offering staff and non-champion students a chance to prepare obstacles for the champions to show their mettle against next week. Meanwhile, both the saboteur and the source of those complaint letters are still at large, and who knows what they might do to try to interrupt the festivities...

diabolickal sabotaygee )
Next Week: The Perpetual portion of the competition unfolds! With concerns about sabotage ramping up, teachers and staff with warding expertise may be called upon to help protect students' work, particularly that done by the school champions. Word will begin circulating among the Teikoku students that their school makes no provisions for students with disabilities - largely of note as Gen, Takuya's son, is reaching the age where he could potentially enroll. And one last letter of complaint will be leaving the school, but not addressed to any newspaper this time…

If your character is submitting a perpetual piece to this week’s leg of the competition, please go here to tell us about it!

in which magic shenanigans are afoot )
Next week: The Performance Art aspect of the tournament is underway. All students are welcome to submit a performance on behalf of their school; while the Champions are carrying their schools' respective best hopes, there will be other prizes available. (And, of course, everyone competing can earn themselves Amelia Bell's scathing attention - let PG know if you'd like to play it out!) The orphaned trio have gotten it in their heads to pry into the Travelers' existence, and may be looking for trouble there (or, well, finding it despite themselves). And of course, with the start of the competition comes a fresh influx of mysteries.

ETA: If you'd like to enter a piece in this week's leg of the tournament, go here to tell us more about it!

The Triad Creation Tourney
March 12-April 21

Her Majesty’s Royal Academy of the Arts, the foremost magical arts academy of Great Britain, is hosting the triannual Triad Creation Tourney, in which they and two other magical schools--the United States’ Lone Star Academy and Japan’s Teikoku Majutsu-shi no Gakuen--compete to create the ultimate magical artistic creation. This year, however, things are far from going as planned. With rumors of cheating rampant and a would-be evil overlord having snuck into the school, the Travelers will have their work cut out for them getting this Triad Creation Tourney to its end!
