Ouroboros Retrograde week 3 plotting
SUMMARY:
Scarstin tries to mobilise people to pursue the idea that spawned the Glatisant. Kentrolite Totally Doesn’t Care, See Him Not Caring. Acionario chases glory, while Nellarin seeks information. Sayf gets startled into Harbingering. Asa helps as best she can. Allura pursues the Glatisant threatening her home time, and makes a plan with Minako. Yuuki offers his own Oracular expertise.
Lyall and some friends sniff out the Glatisant in the past. Kohaku looks for a way to be useful without her symbiote. Ace gets in over his head. Jules remains obnoxious. Thae finds some potential help in untangling his mangled genetics.
Some Travelers get to the bottom of the Glatisant’s source, and beyond. Naoya does something incredibly stupid. Naoki uncovers what grew the Glatisant. Pidge wonders if de-infiltration could be creatively applied to get more information about the waking worlds. Sara has an idea for dealing with a Glatisant, with a side of Arcana speculation. Matthew tries to figure out whether letting Lupa into Liminal Space would be a terrible plan or not.
PLOTTING:
The Champions & Assorted Travelers have caught up with the Glatisant in both past and future; and are facing it down: it takes the form of an eight-headed snake in the future, and of a many-eyed and many-limbed smooth-skinned angler-scorpion in the past. Its defeat in combat will raise questions about the idea that formed it, and Dreamers will no doubt try to investigate those questions.
In the wake of the combat, several Dreamers and Travelers have expeditions planned to distant dreams, or outside of dream altogether - plot those expeditions in the comments below!
At the same time, Travelers and Dreamers explore the subspace below regular dreaming that the Glatisant originated from - and as they do, Spirit Companions from all eras become panicked, but lose the ability to communicate clearly, only able to deliver garbled, cryptic warnings (Champions & Oracles, request a garbled warning under the toplevel here). The specifics of the warning are difficult to untangle, but may strain trust between unfamiliar times and roles.
By the end of the week, the communications difficulty will be resolved (we think) through player action. Clever plans to restore communication ability can be linked under the toplevel here.

Ace (infilCasper) is probably going to be panicking really hard that his Spirit Companion can't communicate properly. It'll depend on the message as to specifics. He's also likely to try to join up with a group exploring a distant Dream, if possible. He's also going to try to talk the Glatisant down if he can. (He can't.) Failing that, he'll help fight.

Shinji is likely still poking about in the Rise era, ditto for Claudia in the Starquake era, so that could at least give them a place to start.
(Someone please mention on the network that there's an eight-headed snake so Naoki can suggest 'get all the heads drunk' as a battle tactic. XD)

She ALSO, however, will be wearing feminine looking clothes for the first time since she joined the RP, so if anyone was confused by her normally androgynous appearance, now is the time to express surprise about that!
I think that's all I got, but if anyone has any ideas, lay 'em on me!

(Same difference really XD Granddads just get to be grumpier.)

Adversarybel will be trying to rally the Adversaries of the Past to fight the Scorpionsant. This is... probably a terrible idea someone stop him.
Oraclebel will also be in the past, more focused on helping Allura's Elven Liberation Front. (it is not actually called the Elven Liberation Front.)
Rubelite (Bernkastel) probably needs Ominous Warnings of some kind but is mostly going to need to stick around in the Present, exploring the subspace and trying to figure out what impossible thing before breakfast is going on.

Speaking of things people knew, she's gonna go I KNEW IT at her form-fitting costume. Please feel free to have this cause needless teenage tension.

She's pretty sure she's female but she didn't know that before hitting on her, she didn't think that part was important okay. She had a pretty good idea after seeing the Ghost of Kohaku Past tho.

Jolie is off in the future possibly fighting the glatisant, possibly just guiding people around since she knows the place, or sitting on the sidelines being glum. I need more stuff with her this mingle since I failed so hard with her on the last one.
Lyall is good for leading people to the past glatisant. He has a Champion of Monsters with him at least (and an Oracle of Time) and they will... probably try to talk to it/not fight it first before fighting commences, if that's a thing that can happen? He's also supposed to get a vision for this mingle, so that'll be fun.

Altair
Can it be Interfaced? He's got Siren Song of Calming to try on it, but alas he is only one Singer and probably wouldn't be able to fully calm it. He can also use Oracle of Sight powers or even Indigo Color magic to see weak points (for massive damage) but again, he'd have to be convinced fighting is the answer. If all that's a bust, there's always his Familiar's cryptic warning to unravel, and subspace stuff.

Yukino might head to Starquake Island to help deal with the future Glatisant. She will probably try to use her Oracular Knowledge on it again now that it's split into two and see if she can get an actual perspective from it. She will probably also be getting a garbled message from her Familiar once I put in for that.
Raidou/Reiko is... up in the air. Her powers are of limited use against a Glatisant and she knows it, and while she's aware of subspace, or at least that the idea that set off the Glatisant is from somewhere below them, she might have the same problem there if she were to join an expedition. She does want to learn more about Traveling in general and the Arcana in particular, because she doesn't think any attempt to rescue the Travelers is going to amount to anything without more information about how all that works, but she's not really sure where to start there, either. So things with her are a bit nebulous.

Haru is more open. Though she's up for whooping ass on a dream hydra to get started.

(Hey, it's not interfacing at the Glatisant, at least?)

I'm not planning a toplevel at the moment, but i can throw one up for Glatisant + cryptic message if you weren't either.

I have no idea if anyone else even has a communications related Archetypeno subject

Jules is probably just going to hang back and troll, as this infiltration is wont to do. Depending on how things go, I might have him start to get nosy with the whys and hows of this whole Glatisant thing. (Or can I get through an entire Jaunt doing nothing but trolling with him...)

Lupa, Tha(c)e, Bayek
In other plans, he may well be making a trip into Liminal, where he will do dumb things like try to read an Arcana's will. And he still wants to do Will readings on the Transformed Lands in Starquake (and I'd love for him to pick up Merge)
Thae will be involved in the fight against the Glatisant, in spite of having a poor powerset for fighting.
After that, he'll have to go back to the waking world, where he has plans to steal his master's (not!Sendak. ...and other Galra commanders/soldiers are also probably present as Diabolin for added oh my god) database of genetic alteration and samples. Who wants to have waking world shenanigans on the Diabolin throneworld and find out Thae is effectively half Diabolin himself?
Bayek will be learning how to harness his Oracle powers and generally wandering around and trying to be helpful. No doubt, he'll end up trying to fill Orochistant up with arrows. He's fought giant snakes in dreams before; he's got this guys. (no he probably does not)

and keep Hajime from soloing in his Leeroy shenanigans.Possibly going with Lyall and co to try and talk with the Glatisant. Or wherever anyone else pulls him :)Bakura is... ... around. Doing something. Putting ghosts in things. IDK. Anyone want a fluffy headed occult nerd anywhere?

Otherwise, he's going to stick his brain in something by god. Whether it's a Glatisnant or something/someone(?) else will be up for grabs.

Kentrolite (aka Rock Kenzaki) is going to be getting involved in bringing down the Rise-era Glatisant. And when things go wonky from there, he's going to want to try and pull the mystery apart... but not really have much of an idea where to go on that. I'm also still looking to toss him against whatever adversaries I can, especially get more going with Rise-era ones! He still has a lot of figuring out to do.
Dakki will be helping with the Starquake-era Glatisant, and then trying to figure out more about this Harbinger stuff. Nothing too big. Open to ideas!

She's also still available to make an attempt at breaking a Mark, if anyone wants to play with that.
Beth/Sabetha will be trying to work out what those cryptic warnings mean, and quite possibly coming to the conclusion (whether or not it's the right one) that it means the Arcana are meddling and stirring things up again.
