Assuming he can get somewhere useful to attempt it, salty Volksgeists etc being what they are, Kanji's going to try and scan the hell out of backstage via all his skills, QC or Persona/pattern-recognition on the general structures down there/maybe even risk interfacing/merging stuff? (Big maybe, but still. Someone has to be that guy. :p) He's loosely speaking trying to look for where the weaknesses/flaws in things are, even if that's not directly in his Signal wheelhouse?
...Ideally, he kind of wants to see QC strong enough that any future roles showing up won't cause havoc.
