THE SYNODIPORIA FOURTH WALL EVENT!

Welcome, Fellow Travelers! This month between Jaunts, instead of doing a Liminal Event and a Test Drive, we’re doing both at the same time - a 4th Wall Event on the main comm, not the OOC, where from March 21st-31st, prospective players or friends just having fun may bring in characters to comment on any post tagged !4th Wall. These visitations will occur in-canon for the game, and may have real ramifications for players who continue on with us, so please consult any castmates you’d like CR with and check their plans Mingles will be going up on the 21st & 27th. During that same ten-day window, apps will be open, so anyone who wants to keep their character in game can submit their app and join us. Our next plot, The Digital Frontier, an exploration-heavy jaunt set in cyberspace, will begin April 5th, and we’d love to have you with us for it.

Quick question here - if you'd had a character who's visited previous test drives before, can they remember those times during this? If they learned about liminal space and all of that during those times, will they recall that as well?

I'm bringing in Locke Lamora, manic-depressive con man, from the Gentleman Bastards Sequence, at a yet-to-be determined canon point.

I am also considering testing either Ender Wiggin fron Ender's Game or Jos Musey from Warchild, but one child soldier at a time is my limit.

I feel like I implied to someone that I would bring in someone else, but it's 1 AM and I have forgotten. If it was you, remind me, and we'll make the magic happen.

Well hi. I'm Corliss1410, aka:

doctor_connor_graham. For this jaunt, I'm bringing in this little lady, Kohlani Tuisalo'o. She comes from the same universe as Connor, but a completely different department.

Small bio can be found on her page (shortly, as of me posting this, since I haven't gotten the chance to cobble one together yet), but if you don't want to read the whole thing, here are the main important bits:

Kohlani is 20, short (5'0"), and fat (250 pounds). She's got the dark skin of a Pacific Islander and, in fact, grew up in Hawaii. She's a computer programmer, responsible for the creation and maintenance of SHIELD's secure servers. She has a thing for candy, particularly hard fruit candies, and is extremely excitable. Her wardrobe, an amalgamation of color and patterns, reflects her personality. She cannot sit still, or stop talking. She's friendly, outgoing, and just wants to be liked. Feel free to come talk to her!

Considering bringing a version of the protagonist from SMT: Strange Journey, complete with demons. Still trying to figure out if I'm cool enough to give it a go. ;o;

Bookie here, bringing in one Melissa Lyre, an OC of mine from a few World of Darkness tabletops. She is a vampire, who was a cop, and still is a hunter. Her life is confusing and it's made her into kind of a bitch.

I'm probably going to app her. jsyk. She is a Daeva, which means she's got fancy social powers, but she kind of hates anything that's not non-powered human so almost everyone is immediately on her shit list.

thirdarrow)! Gonna toss around this shota, Imanotsurugi from that one sword boy hell game Touken Ranbu. He is an asian but not dead, since he is technically not a human - instead, he's a sword spirit (tsukumogami) summoned by a saniwa sage.

Fourth Wall falls exactly on my exam week, so I probably won't be tagging out too much, but I'll be top-levelling and tagging back people on there as much as I can.

Hi! I'm Jill (Quinn's other half, so a few of you have proooooobably seen me hanging around plurk), and I'll be jumping in with Naoki Konishi from Persona 4.

...With a twist, which will be partly evident when his first question in this weird new place is whether Teddie's around. See, in his particular splinter, Kanji got the Gas Station Handshake, and Naoki was the first person to help him investigate (seriously, would you bring Hanamura into a dungeon? He'd probably start waving weapons around in public or something).

I'm bringing Valentine Wiggin political pundit and historian extraordinaire from Ender's Game! She'll be coming in straight off of the Lake Scene in her canon, if you know the book, so she's a tiny bit broken. She's fourteen or fifteen (I think, I'll figure it out tomorrow when it's not two-thirty).

She'll be out talking to people!

I will be bringing in a genderswapped Phedre from Kushiel's Legacy, with Itsuki Koizumi as the PB (is it still called a PB if it's an animated character and not an actual actor?). What I still need to figure out: what is his name? Phedre? Koizumi? Phezumi? I can't really think of a male version of Phedre...

The 10th or 11th doctors and Alphonse Elric are still possibles, if anyone wants them.

This is Gowa and so far I've posted Vilari Mahariel from Dragon Age but haven't decided on the canon point just yet... you can safely assume it's past Awakening at least.

I'm also going to try to bring in Haytham Kenway once I've had a couple of hours to get myself caught up on his interactions with Shay in AC:Rogue.

I might also try for a third character, but we'll see... also I forget if I promised to bring anyone in particular for someone. Probably not but if I did, please let me know!

Hey, guys! I'm Sleepy, and it's cool to meet you all for this thing - hoping it all goes well!
Anyway, this is Kanji Tatsumi from Persona 4, joining the crowd... a biker-punching tough guy with a heart of fluff and outrageous knitting skills. However, this particular one is coming from the same universe as Naoki up there! That is to say, he was the leader of his merry little band back home with all that entails. (He probably won't punch you for saying "do you like dudes". He might if you call him a sissy or a wannabe.)

I'm also considering throwing a couple more dorks around, but I'm still not sure... watch this space?

Hello, it's Keri and I'll be bringing you one Fitz "Fortune" Kreiner, a companion from the Doctor Who Eighth Doctor Adventures novels which came out in the gap between the TV movie and the 2005 return of the show proper. His canon is glorified fanfic and it shoooows.

I've got old apps and canon samples running around on this journal, but the upshot is: he's a time-and-space adventuring manchild from 1963 (though he's about five TARDIS-traveling years removed from then as I play him) whose life is a trauma conga line, and he is made out of tropes.

I'm not looking to actually app him, just want to blow the dust off and see how he'd work :3

I'm Snow, I play Ky (

closedcircuit) and I'm bringing Annabel McAlistair who is from the New Albion operatic soundtracks, and feels much more positively about technology than Ky does. She's kind of a mad scientist in steampunk times, but she is also really over raising the dead. It didn't turn out to be much fun.

Hi guys, I'm Lii - Snow pointed me over here since I'm thinking of coming back to a game and I have a few characters I might test out/app.

First one would be Sol Badguy (this journal), canonmate of Ky's and basically a grumpy, surly bounty hunter that gets into shouting (and sometimes punching) matches with Ky on a semi-regular basis. Also has lots of secrets but never likes talking about them.

The other two I might toss in are both OCs of mine - the first being Emily Madsen (

scions), a former rebel leader and currently a wandering warrior trying to make sense of her new abilities thanks to her partner performing a heroic sacrifice/life-giving technique during the final battle of the war she was in.

The other is Molly Spencer (

stanceshift), a smartassing, martial arts-obsessed private investigator/demon hunter who finds out eventually that she's a descendant of a powerful vampire lord. Loves tinkering with vehicles, fighting, and is surprisingly observant under her gruff demeanor.

Sam here (Hijikata and Ken), and I am bringing in Lady Hayakawa from Samurai Warriors. From right after the battle of Odawara Castle in the unification story mode because why would I stop being an asshole to my characters, right.

She's the eldest daughter of Hōjō Ujiyasu, a daimyo from Kantō in the late sixteenth century. She's a very polite proper lady who believes that ~family is everything~ and because this is video game Japan she also beats the crap out of invading armies with a dakyu stick.

I maaaay also bring in Takenaka Hanbei from the same canon (tiny, ill, cat-loving troll samurai/strategist), or Katsuya from Persona 2 (straight-laced adorkable cop), but I'm still debating. :|a

I'm bringing in Mikasa Ackerman from that one canon about horrible giants, Attack On Titan, where she just told the female titan to fall from the wall. Fifteen year old soldier, very confused to be here considering everything, what is an airport even? Suuuuure not something, that exist in her canon.

I'm Andy, and this is Julio Richtor (aka: Rictor, aka, Ric) from X-Force/X-Factor. His life has been one long string of weird and he can make earthquakes and sarcastic-ass comments. Yay. Compared to where he just was, this will be nothing.

I'm bringing in Sheska from "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" from a mid-game point at

thoughtformed. Grade A bog-standard human with an eidetic memory and a ridiculously soft heart. In her canon, it's not too long after she kept coworkers from discovering Mustang asleep in the records room. (Post The Death.) From a TF canon point, she's from just before people slid back and forth along their timelines. (After the High School and Fantasy Lands events.) This means that she's met some people from other worlds than hers before and has gotten used to some modern technology.

I'm also bringing in Aurora from the Ubisoft game "Child of Light"! She comes from pretty early on - just after making it through the Tree of Thorns. Before she meets Norah. She's a duke's daughter who has been thrust into a magical land cursed by the rule of a dark usurping queen, and until she returns the Sun, Moon, and Stars to their rightful places she cannot go home. She does not have either of her party members with her, nor her little firefly companion, but she is still speaking in rhyme, and she has some hammerspace capabilities. Don't make her pull out the sword as big as she is!

The links lead to their 4th wall toplevels, so have fun!

I'm Mari, I used to play here. I'll be bringing Robb. The only difference is that his canonpoint changed to after the Red Wedding ~~because I'm awful~~.

Hai. I'm Mel. I'm not playing in any games currently, but I've got a few muses that I've been trying to find places to throw, and RainRaven recommended I poke my head over here. I'm going to be throwing Kain from the Legacy of Kain games in and see if he sticks to the wall. ;D I might have a friend bring a Legacy of Kain OC in with me, we'll see. I'm still trying to poke her into it.

Also, will look into maybe apping in later on, but it depends on a few things, so this is a really tentative thing for me. Here's hoping! ;V

I'm Muta, hi! The aforementioned friend in the post riiight above me. Currently, I'm not playing in any games but am here after some poking and at the suggestion of my friend.

The character I'll be bringing is an OC from the Legacy of Kain games. When she was created years ago, it was entertaining the idea of a What-If where the games left off but with Nosgoth slated for release, I suppose it's closer to canon, now. Her name is Cheza and she hails from the long thought dead Razielim clan. Centuries of solitude have been spent in Janos Audron's Retreat, hiding in it's aerie. Her only company the tomes, scrolls, and art of the Ancients. Much of it she could never make heads or tails of; however, what knowledge she does possess may be a boon to the right person.
