1 & 2: You can see behind the 'mask' of the patterns and tell that the chaotic factors are A: the Diabolin dreams & B: the Starmover dreams, and that the Orderly factors are A: the Synthetic dreams, B: the Orthopraxic broadcast within the Synthetic dreams, and C: the influence of the Conductors. Orderly factors A, B, & C are not entirely distinct phenomenon, but are not entirely the same thing, either.
3: not beyond the obvious that they are trying to surround and quarantine these changes. They're all singing the same sort of thing, but it sounds more like a choral warm-up than a song... they're trying to make the new crystalline patterns resonate with the notes they sing. And they're treating all 5 changes the same way.
4: Siren Song III would, in fact, be perfect for this. Essentially, they're trying to bridge the gap between the new patterns and the old pattern by vibrating the crystals into the same shape as the un-quarantined areas. Sabetha could certainly compose a Song of Alignment that attempts to do the same, if she wants.
5: A small hole, but yes. Currently plugged by rather a lot of rubble that's slowly breaking through.
