The Pillars of the Martyrs date to just after Fallen-Heart was taken by the rebels.

The pillars are sometimes called "Portori", which translates in local language to 'those who carry' or 'those who open doors', although they don't actually support anything.

The figures are allegorical - in the early Age of Shadow, it was said the last living creatures would be a human, a lion, an ox, and a hawk.

You have no idea what an ox or a hawk are - presumably something like an addax and something like an ostrich? A lion was a kind of burncat, you know that.
