Beatrice was Certainly Not taken by surprise by the amulet’s fanfare Whatever Could You Mean By That. Hazel is looking to climb the mountain. Gilligan and Kyoto discuss the magical surges with their respective people, and decide to go all-in on officially revealing their presence to the humans.

Spruce has some minor difficulty. Pip is intensely suspicious of mysterious goings-on, by this point. Deepcavern immediately takes the road down the mountain. Zed tries to grab a shiny thing. Button and Saffron adore the new additions to the forest; their father, not so much.

Claudia opens discussion on stealing the amulet pieces, if the infiltrators don’t get its redistribution in hand themselves. Kitty livestreams the Forest Folk meeting, raising questions about Leone’s presence there. *Hyun-ae tries to make sense of both jaunt procedure and being on a planet. Yosuke checks in after being de-infiltrated. Matthew conducts some more pigeon-based recon.

Next Week: The amulet’s been unveiled and so have the two hidden races, but that hardly means the shenanigans have stopped. Magical surges are striking all over the place, amplifying existing magical gifts and/or making spontaneous musical numbers that much harder to avoid - unless one is keeping a group of mixed-species company, that is. These surges are also going to have unusual effects on humans in particular, since there’s so many more of them than either Forest or Stonefolk. There’s still a week to go (only a week to go) before the amulet reunion ceremony needs to take place, if it’s happening.
